Getting a call from University saying that I will be joining Wrangler as a Trade and Retail Marketing intern has been one of the most exciting and unbelievable news I've ever got in my life. I remember asking Laura "OMG!! Sorry, could you repeat that again!?" and now here I am giving direction to tourists about where 'Grote Markt' is.

Moving outside of UK to explore and surround myself in a country full of new people, culture and environment. I cannot belive as I am writing this that it has nearly been three months since I moved to Belgium. When I first arrived in Belgium, I had absolutely no idea what to expect from Belgium apart from tons of  'Waffles', 'Fries, and of course good ol' 'Beer'. At the moment of pure joy and happiness, you don't realise the responsibilities of moving in a new country. The horror of moving in only two days after the exam and a big project hand in (a days apart) has absolutely been a nightmare. Not being able to make up for the amount of hours I spent all those time in the library with only few hours of sleep thinking I will make up for it after the exam by sleeping, eating and sleeping! Boy oh boy, how wrong was I.

Finding apartment has been one of the hardest part of moving to a new country because of different rules, regulations and mainly trying to find houses/apartments close by the station to work. Spending hours and hours of research and time into finding an apartment, not knowing the area and what the country is like has been a nightmare! So, by the time of the moving day, still no luck for the houses. Thankfully, Brian Chesky, came up with Airbnb that saved my life. The morning train delay to London and the panic call to Eurostar about missing the train to Belgium. Dragging the suitcases through one hundred million miles in heavy rain and suitcase getting stuck in the lift overnight and sleeping with the same wet, soggy clothes has been a nightmare.

All this sounds like a story as I now look back and laugh at it. I definately have learned a lot within these three months. In my next blog I'll guide you through my adventerous trips and journey so far.

Grey Layers

CHLOE CLEAR PERSPEX HEELED ANKLE BOOTS IN GREY, COAT- PRIMARK (sold out), DRESS- SELECT (sold out)- similar item found here.

Hiya Lovelies,

Just a quick snapshot of the outfit that I wore on my University trip to London for an event. The day was beautiful as it wasn't too cold/windy with a bit of sunshine which turned out to be perfect for what I was wearing. Grey has never been one of the go-to colours for me when shopping so I try to avoid it as much as possible! This is mainly because I love bright and bold colours. However, with the trendy 70's fashion returning and seeing a lot of nude/pastel colours in shops, I have definitely started to appreciate and wear the colours that I wouldn't wear in the past, including Grey.

I decided to wear this combination of colour when I welcomed my new baby home: the grey patent boots which is a look alike of the DIOR patent boots. I absolutely love the shiny material and clear heels, not to forget the comfort when I walked for hours! The grey bodycon dress is casual and comfy yet it can be styled to make it dressy for a night out with some jewellery and party heels on. To complete the look, the grey coat from Primark is ideal if you don't want to break your bank to look fabulous and be cosy at the same time. (All details of the outfit are above).

Let me know what look you guys would like to see next!

Until next time,

Valentine's Day Look 2

Following up with my Look 1, this is an alternative dress if you are not a big fan of bright bold colours! Just because it's Valentine's Day doesn't mean you have to red. Black on black is always the safest option but you can style it up to make it look glamorous if you want to dress up! Here, I'm wearing a New Look black dress with a ruched design and a bodycon fit which is stylish yet comfortable. Ladies, if you want to eat as much as you want and not worry about breaking the zips but still want a flat tummy, this dress is perfect for you! (trustttt meee). As for the coat, I decided to go for a  plain black fur which you can find here!. As it's Valentine's Day and too late to order online you can always visit the stores and I'm sure New Look or Topshop do a fur coat similar to the one I'm wearing!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!
xoxo

Valentine's Day Look 1

If you're struggling to decide what to wear for a last minute Valentine's day outfit, whether it's with your partner or friends, the red long maxi dress is perfect for the night with a creamy ivory fur coat which provides a perfect contrast. To finish off the look black heels are the way to go but preferably the Satine cagey heels (like the one i'm wearing) would be perfect! I bought the dress quite a while ago but I never really had the chance to wear it, there are similar items you can find online here!

If you think this look is not for you, keep an eye out for the alternative look I'll upload in a bit!

Camel Coated

Camel is still one of the most popular colour this season and I'm loving every second of this! Camel on camel is one of my favourite combinations and here I'm wearing a turtle neck top and longline midi skirt, finished off the look with the waterfall oversized coat. This is one of my best purchases this winter as it is warm yet stylish! However, it only comes in one size but with the price I can't complain. My everyday ankle boots are very comfortable and I can walk around in them for hours! Currently obsessed with the pom pom key rings, aren't they just adorable? ok, maybe just me.As for the bag, I purchased it recently in Debenhams for £10!? Talk about the bargain queen here..

Until next time,

Suede blues

Missguided suede belted trench coat blue /Missguided roll neck Jumper charcoal/ River Island Black suede boots- sold out (Similar Item River Island black suede boots)/ Faux leather distressed boyfriend, Laura Ashley necklace- sold out.

Oh hey there, welcome to my new outfit post! With this cold weather about, I went for casual chic wear with the suede trench coat which is not particularly thick so I make sure I wear something warm underneath like the fluffy roll neck jumper (my armour) which fights off the cold wind. Every girl needs a boyfriend jeans and I got mine from Justfab! It is one of the favourite denim piece that I own, mainly because of the leather patch behind the ripped area which looks chic but also keeps me warm. Last but not least, the boots are to die for! Looks, fabulous and comfortable goes with most outfits. I can't do high heels or stilettos but its safe to say that they're more pleasant than any other high heels I've worn!

January favourites!

Hi lovelies! I know it's been a long time since I've stopped blogging but hey-ho I'm back!! I will be blogging regularly. So, With the cold weather in January, I've found some perfect products to use for my daily wear.

1) High Beam- Benefit's most popular highlighter that gives you natural look. It comes in two different colour; Light dusty pink/ Golden. So I heard a lot of talks about this item and decided to buy it after watching tutorial videos in youtube. My first impression was Dayum 'WOW'! This product is amazing especially if you like that natural look and makes your skin look really fresh! Definitely would recommend it to everyone with any skin colour. It is a bit expensive but definitely worth it.
Price: £19

2) Sleek Blusher- I absolutely love blushers! I've always struggled to find the perfect shade of blusher for myself. It's either too pink or too light for my skin colour (medium brown). This three combination of blusher works perfectly whether it is for every day use or the brighter coral/pink colour for night outs! The middle blusher is medium glittery which could be used as a highlighter on top of the other two colours! It's really cheap for the quality of the blusher. Definately one of my favourite item from Sleek.
Price: £10

3) The Righteous Butter by 'Soap & Glory'- If you like smelling good 24/7 like I do then this is the perfect body butter for you! I've always had a thing for good smelling products and I've been using the Body Shop body butter for 4 continuous year. However, after I found this body butter, I haven't been back to Body Shop. The smell is absolutely delicious and lasts for quite a long time and it moisturizes the skin very well . I've also had a lot of compliments from people asking what spray I used. I can reveal the secret to my goodsmelling product..mmhmm.. #Teamgoodsmell
Price: £10

4) Sleek 'Matte me' lip cream- Perfect for someone looking for that matte finish almost like the Anastasia Beverly Hill liquid lipstick but with cheaper price. The colour I use is 'Birthday Suit' in 436 which is a mixture of dusty pink and a hint of brown mix. The only thing I would say is that because it is matte, the lips can be a bit dry so I always use a vaseline or any lip back before applying the lip creme. It stays on for a long time too unless you like biting your lip like I do!
Price: £4.99

5)Vichy 'Corrective foundation'- I was introduced to this product by my friend who has been using it for few years now and I absolutely loved it. Although it is a corrective foundation, I use it as a concealer in '15 OPAL' colour. it works really well as a concealer and this product lasts for years as it is 30ml. I haven't used any other concealer after I've found this love! <3
Price: £18

6) Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow pomade in 'Dark Brown'- Girl, if you have really thin eyebrows like I do and have struggled to get that perfect fleek then there is no other product that does the job like Dipbrow does! I've been using this product every day and I absolutely love it. This is one of the thing that I can't live without on day to day basis. I use the shade Dark brown but comes in different shades of brown and blonde. You can control your eyebrow brush depending on how dark you want your eyebrow to look. So get fleeking and let me know how it goes..
Price: £15

THE STRUCTURED RUNWAY

Now that the holidays are over, I better put my work face on! I know this post is a bit late because I was on a holiday right after this show so I've been a bit busy but here I am. Better late than never right?  If you've been reading my previous blog posts I was asked to be part of 'The Structured Runway' when I went for my interview in Southampton Solent University. I was overwhelmed to be a part of this amazing show and there was no way I could have missed the chance.

You might have noticed that most of the garments are different apart from one. This is because I wanted to add designs that are more structural and of course, which are Architecture inspired.
(Backstage action before the show; pictures from The Structured Runway page in Facebook)
(Designs from Tamara Joseph)
(Collaboration of Tk Maxx and Swatch)
(Laura Stockl designs)
The fact that all of the other designers were from well known companies like Tk Maxx, Foxy lady, Devernois, Klass designs and other graduated designers like Laura Stockl who is a young and upcoming designer where her above collection was showcased in Graduate Fashion Week 2013 in London made me feel nervous and insecure at the same time however; looking at the positive side it was a huge opportunity for an Art & Design foundation student where I'm a newbie in the world of fashion but I have to admit that I was very pleased with my work.
This is what I wore that day; a little mini black dress on the inside made with Pvc  and using a bright yellow felt fabric I made a coat/ cardigan/bodyscarf  outer wear that covered up my dress; not completely, as you can see the dress from the side ways and styled it with my glitter belt. To complete my look, I wore my ankle boots from River Island and a clutch bag from Primark
Overall, the decorations were great and the show was organised very well. In fact, It couldn't have been any better. And there it was, my first fashion show ever.. All I can say is what a fab night it was!
